Godwin also described her as having a "heart of gold" and being "a surfer chick".
Gunno opens all the doors, allowing the prisoners from general population to enter the protection unit. Meanwhile, Ash and Nate go to the back of the prison, where Ash gets inside through a secret entrance that Gunno used for drug trafficking. Heath and Bianca are forced out of the crawlspace when it fills with smoke and Ash finds them. He guides them to the exit, but Heath realises he cannot leave Kyle behind and tells Ash to get Bianca out.

Emma Jackson, played by Dannii Minogue, made her first on-screen appearance on 22 September 1989 and departed on 22 August 1990. Minogue originally auditioned for the role of Marilyn Chambers, but she was later cast in the role of Emma instead. Minogue stayed with the show for a year, before she quit to launch her music career in 1990. In October 2007, it was rumoured that Minogue was due to reprise her role as Emma for the show's 20th anniversary in 2008. For her portrayal of Emma, Minogue was nominated for the "Most Popular Actress on Australian Television" Logie Award in 1989. Holy Soap named Minogue as one of Home and Away's "Sexiest girls ever".

VJ's name has been a source of amusement to some critics, with one calling him "unfortunately named" and another believing that he was named after an "early model Holden". Martha was introduced as Alf Stewart's first wife through a series of flashbacks. The character was reintroduced on 27 March 2018, and the role was recast to Belinda Giblin, who previously played Cynthia Ross in 1991.
Rowland was working in a bar when he learned he had been cast as Remi. He called his character "the quintessential Australian larrikin", and said Remi "enjoys a good time and stirring the pot but is loyal to his friends and family." She later invites PK to Salt, where she pitches him an idea to repay her debt – they will hose another VIP poker night and she will give him the buy-in takings. However, PK says that he will run the night and then demands all of the money made, causing an angered Mac to ask him to leave. He later sends some men to Salt to steal the takings and trash the restaurant.
Brad Newsome of The Sydney Morning Herald liked All or Nothing more than Revenge, despite calling the plot "preposterous". He went on to praise director Arnie Custo and cinematographer Bob Miller's use of the setting "to great effect in some very menacing and kinetic scenes", as well as composer Michael Yezerski's "terrific" score. Newsome also enjoyed Heidenreich, Hoetjes, Callan's performances, believing that the latter two should have had bigger roles.
